(Note: At this time, when I'm alone in my apartment, I think back... now..., on how I was so low on the pole with my stature where I had everything taken from me. And today I'm in equal with everyone else, I even have more than some. I don't feel demise towards this. I just think and feel. Why God? Why any on this?)

EXT. Day. Campground

Lori takes the dishes and puts them in a basin with dish detergent and pours water from a jug over them.

Lori: Come on Jesse.

She takes his hand and they walk off together hand in hand.

Lori: (cont.) Let's go for a walk.

The ground is quiet. It is before the season begins. She was lucky to get a spot just when they opened. The planning, or unplanned went well. She packed just what she needed, no one would notice her gone with all the things left. Holes stuffed with clothes in the old apartment to run from the fumes put in their of drugs by her abuser.

Lori: Oooh, a bridge. Let's go check it out.

They both skip over to it. It's in between forest.

Lori: Oh so beautiful. Let's lay on our bellies.

Jesse and Lori lay on their bellies and face their faces into the running stream.

Lori: This is what is so important.

Jesse: Yes.

Lori: Listening to these sounds and watching this water. Look at how the water pours over the rocks. Isn't it beautiful.

Jesse hands point over the water that runs and follows it over the rocks.

Lori: You hear the sounds?

Jesse: Yes.

Jesse smiles and is amazed and his happiness shines onto the rocks and water.

Lori: Let's just lay here a while and appreciate it. No one can take this away from us.

The shadows show through the woods as they sun shows the lights of the green and dark woods. The different color rocks mirage within each other.

EXT. Day. Campground Woods

Lori takes Jesse's hand and they walk along the woods on the path and eventually end back up at the campground.

INT. Night. Tent

Lori strokes Jesse's head and hair as he lays next to her with a smile so peacefully they both fall asleep.

EXT. Day. Campground

Lori: Let's go take a shower.

Lori and Jesse go hand in hand to the nearest shower and bathroom.  They both walk in and she puts some things down.

Lori: Looks like there's two showers in here. You can take one and I'll take the other.

Jesse: Ok.

Jesse takes his things and goes in the shower.

Lori: Let me turn the water on for you.

INT. Day. Shower

Lori closes her eyes to the water that runs over her. She lathers the soap onto her body. She closes her eyes. Jesse sings as he washes. She notices bugs making their way in their webs. She stares for a bit.

Lori: All done okey dokey?

Jesse: Yep.

Jesse and Lori walk out of the shower and back toward the campground.

Just as they turn a corner she sees a shadow in the distance. She notices who it is. She doesn't make of it in front of Jesse. She walks a bit faster with him. They turn into the campground.

Lori: We have to go Jesse. Jesse looks startled. Lori loads up the car and pulls out.

EXT. Night. New Campground

Tires roll into a rocked path. Lori rolls her window down.

Lori: I need a site.

Window Person: How long?

Lori: Two Weeks.

Window Person: That's our maximum.

Lori: Thanks. Not too far out. Okay?

Window Person: Here.

Lori is handed a map and she hands the window person a card. The card is given back and Lori drives off.

Rain begins to pour. Jesse is crying. He's getting hungry and cold. Lori tries to get the tent up as fast as she can. They both finally make it inside and she frantically gets his wet clothes off. She gets him warm and hands him some snacks.

INT. Night. Tent

The rain pours and the thunder thrashes against the tent. The bolts get louder and closer and feel as though they will knock they tent in. Lori carries Jesse wrapped into the car. Tears fall down her face as she shakes. She notices Jesse at peace and stops.

Hours later.... Lori carries Jesse back inside the tent. She hears banging on the tent. She screams. A cars comes a few minutes later. A man runs over to the tent.

Man: Are you okay in there?

Lori: Yes.

Man: You were screaming at a man coming at you?

Lori: Yes.

Man: Ok. I scared them off for you. I'll look around. They won't be back (his authoritarian voice answers.)

Lori: Ok. Thank you.

Lori reassuringly falls asleep.

INT. Morning. New Campground

Small trickles of rain run along the tent. You hear little action from very few campers. The man from the night before patrols through. Lori feels reassured. Jesse wakes up smiling.

Lori: Ohhh... we're going to go exploring today. Aaahhhh.

She tickles Jesse and he laughs and looks excited. They grab a breakfast bar and a drink and eat and get dressed.

Lori: Mmm. Well, it's raining, and if we want to go out we need some rain gear. Let's see. I know how we can make some.

Lori takes out some large green trash bags and pokes holes in them for arms and openings for faces. They each put one on and walk out of the tent.

Lori: Do you know in that woods there are many bottles that people throw away?

Jesse: No?

Lori: Yup. And if we collect them and clean up the woods we get money for them. It's kind of like a scavenger hunt. Do you want to do it?

Jesse YEAH!

Lori: Ok. Let's go.

They walk along the campground and woods.

Lori: Look at all these jars and bottles. So many right?

Jesse: People just throw them anywhere?

Lori: They do. And we're the good ones for picking them up. AND we get rewarded. This is called recycling. Once we bring them to the store that takes them we get money and then we go get something special to eat to reward ourselves.

Jesse is extremely excited and amused in her movements.

Jesse: Yeah!

INT. Day. Store

Lori: Ok. We have about $3.50. That's pretty good.

Jesse smiles widely.

Lori: Let's go get something to eat.

EXT. Day. Ice Cream Stand

Jesse smiles with ice cream all over his face.
