Flying Rockets at the Amusment Park #insert #screenplay #lorijeanfinnila #reallifestory

Well, I thought to add in this amusement park scene where I've had some hits trickle in with interest even a few days after the initial posts of my screenplay. It's nice to add onto it as well if anyone is interested in producing it. I can't help but to have the loveliest of thoughts to our running adventure as I watched my son grow with laughter and glee in his heart.

(They were actually flying rocket fish.)

Rocket Kiddie Rides

We eventually ventured over to an amusement park, which we frequented, while camping at the beach.

Jesse and Lori walk hand in hand into the amusement park. They see the horses bobbing around.

Lori: Oh honey, look at the horses.

Jesse: Can we ride them?

Lori: Yes, of course. If you don't ride them you haven't been to an amusement park.

Jesse: Really?

Lori: Yup. Come on.

Lori pulls onto Jesse's hand a bit stronger and they walk faster toward the carousel.

Lori: Oh look at all the beautiful horses.

Jesse's eyes glisten. The line looks long.

Lori: We'll have to wait in line.

Line moves up.

Lori: Here.

Lori hands her tickets to the attendant.

Lori: Ohhhh (excited)

Jesse is smiling.

Lori: Ok we get to pick out the horse we like.

Jesse: REALLY

Lori: Yup. There are so many horses. Some are bigger than others. Let's try and not pick ones too big.

Jesse: Ok.

Jesse immediately picks out a bit of a smaller horse. Lori picks him up and puts him on and straps him in. She looks around and the only horse left next to him is a very large one.

Lori: Alright, I'll have to choose him.

Lori hops on the horse and the ride starts to turn.

Lori: Hold on!

Jesse's eyes widen. The carousel turns slowly and then speeds up a bit as the music plays. Their eyes can see the amusement park spinning around them. Lori shifts uncomfortably yet tries not to fall off her horse. Jesse laughs a lot then exclaims joyfully the rest of the ride.

Lori and Jesse hop off the horses and trot into the rest of the park. They see boats.

Lori: Ohhh! Boats. Sweetie you have to ride these. I always did. It was my favorite ride.

Jesse: Ok!

Jesse immediately runs over and chooses his boat. Lori hands the tickets to the attendant. She straps Jesse in.

Lori: Now you have to keep you hands in and sit still so you don't get hurt.

Jesse nods.

Jesse: Ok.

The ride starts and the water moves a bit with the boats. Jesse laughs and waves to Lori as she waves to him each time he reach her in his circular movements.

The ride finishes and they walk on over to some flying rockets.

Lori: Oh these are nice but they go so high. Geez I don't know honey.

Jesse jumps up and down.

Jesse: I want to go on them.

Lori: You do.... Oh... Geez honey, I don't know. They go so high.

The rockets bob up and down faster now as the ride maxes up and then ends.

Lori: Ok. You're only three but it is a kiddie ride. It goes so high.... (Pauses)e but we'll try. You have to hold on tight.

Jesse: I know.

Lori picks Jesse up and puts him into the ride. She straps him in.

Lori: Now don't try to stand up especially in this. It's very dangerous if you do. You have to stay strapped in and seated in this for sure.

Jesse: Ok.

Jesse anxiously awaits the ride to start. It starts moving and then speeds up as the rockets start to move up high. Jesse face is in glee. Then they rockets go faster. Lori has a doubtful look on her face and worried. Lori holds her mouth. Jesse begins to scream with glee. Lori is surprised and happy. She waves to him each time he goes by and the rocket moves up and down with its rotation toward her. He has the biggest smile.

Lori: Oh my god, he's doing it. I've never seen him so happy!

Jesse keeps whirling by with a huge smile and never lets go of the handles. Lori snaps a picture.
